Wine is a project that started in 1993 to support the running of Windows applications on Linux machines. Bob Amstadt was the original initiator of the Wine project and since then has developed to a level that ports have been created to run Win32 applications. Applications such as Wine are going to be the catalyst in the fight to bring Linux to the desktop. In this page we are going to follow the development of the Wine project.
